Centric (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates centric.social and the Centric mobile apps. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
By using Centric, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information collected automatically
- Session and usage data: which features you use, sessions you create or join, calculation inputs and results
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, timestamps
- Cookies and local storage: used for authentication session state and user preferences
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Calculate and display equidistant meetup spots and suggest venues
- Create and manage your account
- Process subscription payments and manage your billing
- Send transactional emails (receipts, session invitations, account notifications)
- Send product updates and announcements — you can opt out at any time
- Improve and debug the Service
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell or share your personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Address Data and Location Privacy
Address data you enter for a calculation is sent to our server to compute the meetup area. It is not stored indefinitely — calculation inputs are retained only as long as necessary to complete the calculation and maintain your session history. Your saved profile address (if set) is stored until you delete it or your account. Home addresses and other precise geolocation data are used solely to calculate the meetup area and for no other purpose.
We do not share participant addresses with other participants — only the resulting meetup area is shared with the group.

We share your information only as described below. We do not sell it.

Legal requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers
If Centric is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

7. Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Download a copy of your data
- Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link in every email)
Virginia residents have additional rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), including the right to opt out of the sale of personal data and profiling used for automated decisions with legal effects. We do not engage in either.
To exercise any right, visit centric.social/datarequest or contact us. We will respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
8. Children
Centric is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Authentication: keeping you logged in across page loads
- Preferences: remembering your settings
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Transfers
Our servers and service providers are primarily located in the United States. If you use Centric from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as an in-app notification or email). Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
